If Elected, Alf plans to utilize the budget effectively to fund education more fully so that inmates receive their GEDs, vocational training, and other tutoring and education, as well as work-release programs, so that, upon, release they have skills to help them achieve financial independence and comfort. This leverage will help give them a better chance at success, and reduce the likelihood of them becoming incarcerated again.
